Off to Baby Shayne's Funeral

...smiling in the outside, grieving in the inside...
I went to the funeral of my fiancée’s five-month old niece, Shayne, who died of dengue last Saturday night.

In the Philippines, wearing black or white is the proper attire during a wake or a funeral. Loud colors are prohibited, to give due respect to the dead and to show sympathy to the bereaved family.

I chose to wear black—to hide unwanted fats. I gained much weight in the past months and it was really hard to lose the pounds. I tried to do the silhouette trick; however, it didn’t succeed. I was told by some relatives that I am getting chubbier. Oh, well, thanks a lot.

We will miss baby Shayne. Please pray for the repose of our little angel’s soul.

Also, if it's not too much, please follow me on CHICTOPIA!
